General Information
How will the $50,000 launch fund be used?
Every dollar goes toward our three foundational pillars: scaling our mobile community outreach operations, outfitting our Tech Hub with portable hardware and digital literacy resources, and equipping our Wellness Center with training gear and mobile mats. We are currently 100% focused on these startup costs to deploy vital programming directly to Lansdale neighborhoods.
What is a "Third Place"?
A 'Third Place' is a social environment that exists outside of home (the first place) and school or work (the second place). As a mobile-first organization, the Gabriella Rose Community Center acts as a nomadic Third Place for Lansdale's youth. By bringing our Wellness Center, Tech Hub, and Restorative Lounge directly into neighborhoods, we provide a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment that fosters connection, mentorship, and personal growth without the barriers of a traditional facility.
What is the Gabriella Rose Community Center (GRCC)?
The GRCC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Lansdale, PA. We are dedicated to creating a "Third Place"—a safe, constructive social hub outside of home and school where residents of all ages can connect, learn, and grow.
Who is behind this project?
The GRCC was co-founded by Lansdale residents Gianluca Vera LoPiccolo and Eshan Jahan. The organization began as a shared vision between the two, with Eshan serving as the initial sounding board who helped spark the starting idea for the center. It was launched to ensure every young person in our community has immediate access to free, high-standard programming across our mobile Wellness Center, Tech Hub, and Restorative Lounge.
Who is the center named after?
The center is named for Gabriella Rose, the founder's daughter. It provides free, high-standard programming for Lansdale's youth through our mobile Wellness Center, Tech Hub, and Restorative Lounge.
Location & Participation
How much will it cost to visit?
All of our mobile programming, tech workshops, and youth athletic clinics are 100% free of charge. We are committed to removing all financial barriers so that every young person in Lansdale can access high-standard mentorship, physical training, and digital literacy tools.
What is the long-term vision for a physical center?
While the Gabriella Rose Community Center is currently operating as a mobile-first organization to meet the immediate needs of our community, our long-term strategic vision includes the development of a permanent, brick-and-mortar facility in Lansdale. This future space will serve as an expanded 'Third Place,' housing a permanent Wellness Center, a dedicated Tech Hub, and a restorative environment for youth mentorship. Every dollar we raise today supports our mobile operations and builds the foundation, network, and financial sustainability required to make that future facility a reality.
Where will the center be located?
The Gabriella Rose Community Center operates as a mobile-first organization. Rather than relying on a single fixed address, we deploy our Wellness Center, Tech Hub, and Restorative Lounge programming directly into Lansdale neighborhoods, parks, and community hubs to ensure our resources are accessible to everyone, everywhere in town.
Who can use the center?
While we have a strong focus on providing a safe haven and activities for youth, the GRCC is designed to be a multi-generational space. We will offer programming for students, social opportunities for adults, and a welcoming environment for all Lansdale neighbors.
Support & Safety
Are you a registered nonprofit?
Yes! The Gabriella Rose Community Center is an officially recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. This means that donations made to support our mission are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
How is the GRCC funded?
As an officially recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit, our immediate startup and mobile operations are funded through our $50,000 foundational launch campaign, powered by individual donors and local corporate sponsors. Our long-term sustainability model will rely on a combination of private philanthropy, corporate partnerships, and state or local programming grants. This ensures that all resources provided by our Wellness Center, Tech Hub, and Restorative Lounge remain 100% free to Lansdale youth.
How will you ensure the safety of youth?
Before any adult has direct contact with young people at GRCC, they must hold current Pennsylvania child abuse clearances - the PA Child Abuse History Certification, the State Police criminal record check, and either an FBI background check or the Commonwealth's residency affidavit - and complete mandated reporter training. That applies to everyone, founders included. Volunteers also receive training in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and youth mentorship.
