1. The Wellness Wing (Proposed)

2. Youth Athletics & Discovery Pipeline (Proposed)

2. Youth Athletics & Discovery Pipeline (Proposed)

Mental health is the foundation of a strong community. Our goal is to remove the stigma and the price tag from high-quality care.

  • Support for the Under-Insured: We plan to offer a network of licensed counselors and specialists dedicated to those currently overlooked by the healthcare system.
  • Holistic Integration: Mental health support won't exist in a vacuum; it will be integrated into our sports and tech programs to support the "whole person."

2. Youth Athletics & Discovery Pipeline (Proposed)

2. Youth Athletics & Discovery Pipeline (Proposed)

2. Youth Athletics & Discovery Pipeline (Proposed)

We believe physical wellness is the foundation for personal success. Our sports programming transitions youth from curiosity to competition, ensuring every child has a place on the field or the mat.

  • The "Intro" Series (Discovery): Low-barrier, 4–6 week clinics focused on Fun, Fundamentals, and Friendships. Featured sports include Football, Soccer, Wrestling, Cheer, Softball, and Lacrosse.
  • The Seasonal Circuit (Competition): A structured, competitive program that follows the school calendar:
    • Fall: Football, Soccer, & Game-Day Cheer
    • Winter: Wrestling & Competitive Floor Cheer
    • Spring: Lacrosse (LAX), Soccer, & Softball

The GRCC Advantage: Every "Intro" sport leads to a dedicated competitive season. Our athletes also gain access to our Fitness Hub, focusing on injury prevention and building lifelong healthy habits.

3. The Performance & Combat Lab (Proposed)

2. Youth Athletics & Discovery Pipeline (Proposed)

4. The Innovation Hub & Social Square (Proposed)

A space for physical discipline and internal peace.

  • The Dojo & Mat Space: High-level instruction in MMA and Wrestling to build confidence and physical literacy.
  • The Flow Studio: A dedicated space for Yoga and stretching, helping athletes recover and providing a quiet retreat for community members.
  • Open Fitness: A planned modern gym floor for strength and conditioning.

4. The Innovation Hub & Social Square (Proposed)

6. "The Exchange": Pay-What-You-Can Learning (Proposed)

4. The Innovation Hub & Social Square (Proposed)

Where creativity meets connection—the heart of the "Third Place."

  • The Tech Hub: We aim to bridge the digital divide by providing access to 3D printers, high-speed internet, and creative software. Equipped with a lab.
  • The Community Lounge: A "living room" for the neighborhood—no membership required to sit, study, or chat.
  • The GRCC Café: A planned social enterprise serving fresh coffee and healthy food, providing a natural space for people of all walks of life to collide and connect.

5. The Skills & Trades Pavilion (Proposed)

6. "The Exchange": Pay-What-You-Can Learning (Proposed)

6. "The Exchange": Pay-What-You-Can Learning (Proposed)

Our vision includes empowering our community with tangible, high-value skills. We plan to host "Level Up" classes that provide a bridge to stable careers and self-sufficiency.

  • The Trade Foundation Series: We aim to partner with local professionals to offer introductory workshops in high-demand fields such as:
    • Basic Carpentry & Home Repair: Understanding the tools and techniques to maintain a home.
    • Electrical & HVAC Basics: An intro to how modern systems work and how to enter these career paths.
    • Auto Maintenance: Essential skills for vehicle longevity and safety.
  • Creative Technical Skills: Beyond 3D printing, we plan to offer classes in Digital Design, Video Editing, and Sound Engineering in our tech lab.

6. "The Exchange": Pay-What-You-Can Learning (Proposed)

6. "The Exchange": Pay-What-You-Can Learning (Proposed)

6. "The Exchange": Pay-What-You-Can Learning (Proposed)

Education shouldn’t be a luxury. "The Exchange" is our planned series of community-led classes where the cost is whatever you can afford—even if that’s just a "thank you."

  • Community-Led Workshops: Do you have a skill? We provide the space; you provide the knowledge. These could range from Financial Literacy and Cooking on a Budget to Photography or Basic Coding.
  • The "Barter" System: We are exploring a model where community members can "pay" for a class by volunteering an hour of their time elsewhere in the center.
  • No-Barrier Entry: All PWYC classes will be open to all walks of life, ensuring that a person’s bank account never limits their potential to grow.

7. Low-Sensory Sanctuary Hours (Proposed)

9. The "Adulting" Life Skills Series (Proposed)

8. Intergenerational Tech Support (Proposed)

We believe everyone deserves a space to belong. During our Low-Sensory Hours, we dim the lights in the Tech Lab and turn down the music in the Fitness Hub to create a calm, quiet environment for neurodivergent individuals or anyone who needs a peaceful break from the noise.

8. Intergenerational Tech Support (Proposed)

9. The "Adulting" Life Skills Series (Proposed)

8. Intergenerational Tech Support (Proposed)

Bridging the gap between generations. Our "Tech Lab" teens host weekly drop-in sessions to help seniors with everything from setting up a new smartphone to navigating online banking. It’s about building skills and community bonds simultaneously.

9. The "Adulting" Life Skills Series (Proposed)

Volunteer Opportunities

The Gabriella Rose Community Center (GRCC) is more than a building—it’s a promise. We are currently in the planning stages of creating a "Third Place" where mental health support, elite athletics, and cutting-edge technology are accessible to all, regardless of insurance or income.

We aren't just looking for help; we’re looking for Founding Volunteers. Whether you are a coach, a mental health professional, a tech enthusiast, or simply someone who believes in the power of "community," your voice and your hands can help us turn this vision into a reality.

Programs We Want to Provide Cont.

11. The Foundation: "Intro to Movement" (Proposed)

11. The Foundation: "Intro to Movement" (Proposed)

11. The Foundation: "Intro to Movement" (Proposed)

This 4-week introductory series focuses on the basics of rhythm and coordination. It’s designed for those who have never stepped onto a dance floor.

  • Focus: Understanding "the beat," basic footwork, and building confidence.
  • Styles Covered: Basic Hip-Hop, Jazz-Funk, and Latin Social dance.
  • The "No-Cost" Perk: Participants are encouraged to wear their everyday sneakers and comfortable athletic wear.

12. The "Tech-Flow" Workshop (Proposed)

11. The Foundation: "Intro to Movement" (Proposed)

11. The Foundation: "Intro to Movement" (Proposed)

Connecting the Tech Lab with the dance floor, this program explores the intersection of digital media and movement.

  • Activity: Students learn a short routine and then work together to film and edit a "Day in the Life" or "Trend" style video for social media.
  • Skill Building: Teaches stage presence, camera angles, and basic video editing (linking STEM with Arts).

13. High-Energy Fitness: "The Pulse" (Proposed)

11. The Foundation: "Intro to Movement" (Proposed)

13. High-Energy Fitness: "The Pulse" (Proposed)

This is a cardio-heavy dance class that fits perfectly within the Fitness Hub.

  • Format: A follow-along style (similar to Zumba or HIIT dance) where the goal is heart health and endurance rather than perfecting a routine.
  • Vibe: Loud, upbeat music with a focus on "Movement as Medicine."

14. Cultural Exchange Series (Proposed)

15. Classical & Contemporary Arts (Proposed)

13. High-Energy Fitness: "The Pulse" (Proposed)

To celebrate the diversity of the local community, this monthly rotation invites guest instructors to teach traditional styles.

  • Potential Rotations:
    • Salsa & Bachata (Spanish-speaking heritage)
    • South Asian Folk/Bollywood (Bangla heritage)
    • West Indian/Haitian Compas (Creole heritage)
  • Community Goal: This serves as a "bridge" program where residents can share their culture with neighbors.

15. Classical & Contemporary Arts (Proposed)

15. Classical & Contemporary Arts (Proposed)

15. Classical & Contemporary Arts (Proposed)

"Barre & Balance" (Modern Ballet):

This isn't your typical rigid ballet class. It focuses on the athletic benefits of the art form.

  • The Approach: Focuses on leg strength, core stability, and flexibility.
  • Accessibility Note: Instead of expensive wooden barres, the program can use the backs of sturdy chairs or portable, weighted PVC pipes.
  • Attire: No tutus or expensive slippers required. Leggings and "grippy" socks (or bare feet) work perfectly for beginners.

"Lyrical Storytelling":

A fusion of Ballet and Jazz that focuses on expressing emotions through movement.

  • The Vibe: Using popular music to tell a story. This is a great "safe space" activity for teens to process emotions through physical expression.
  • Benefit: High emotional intelligence building and creative "Third Place" bonding.

"Contemporary Groundwork":

This style is very athletic and often involves floor work (rolling, sliding, and using gravity).

  • The Connection: This is the "bridge" between gymnastics/wrestling and dance. It’s physically demanding and great for building full-body functional strength.
